My name is Kisan Tamang. I love building things on the cloud.👨‍💻 I am a serverless fan, DevOps enthusiast, AWS Community Builder, and a technical writer.
I like to write about stuff.
Ever since I was in school, computer science has been my passion. I still remember sitting in front of my brother’s PC which has an Intel dual-core processor with 1 gigabyte of memory and Windows XP running it.
I got a computer for myself when I was in High School. I used to sit in front of it spending hours and hours surfing the internet and learning to code, building websites using HTML, and CSS. The first programming language I learned was a language called QBASIC.
This passion carried me through my education at Sunway Int’l College for my undergraduate CS degree (affiliated with Infrastructure University) where I studied new languages, algorithms, compilers, data structures, Web Development, distributed computing, System Analysis, and Design.
The passion still remains the same in the industry today. I love to solve problems and am keen to learn new technologies. I am an Open Source enthusiast and always looking forward to contributing to open source projects.
I work on technologies such as Nodejs, Docker, and AWS. Recently I have been more into Cloud and all things serverless.
I spend almost 90% of my time on screen learning new things when I am free. I don’t go out that much even though there are plenty of places to travel in Nepal. I just sit at my desk and do my own stuff. I do lots of research on different CS topics.
I’ve been writing about cloud computing, AWS, serverless, my experiences, how-to articles, the latest tech news, programming, and more on medium. I love to write because It makes me think. Sharing what I learned so far with you is one of the most satisfying things to do for me.
